about

Previously released as a single in 2019

Performed by Hannah Woof & Jack Arnold

Hannah Woof is one of those gifted musicians who enchants audiences & is respected highly by her musical peers. Shehas already been played on BBC Radio 1, performed to sell out crowds and released an “enthralling” debut EP ‘Sleepless Nights’.

Growing up in Warwickshire, Hannah began writing and singing songs from an early age. As well as singing 60s and 70s classics, her own songs showed a maturity beyond her years. She took these songs into the retirement homes of the area to delight audiences, growing in confidence all the time.

After 5 years of performing, and still only 18, Hannah entered 14 Records to record what was to become ‘Sleepless Nights’ EP, writing the majority of the EP in the quiet depths of the night due to struggling with sleep.

Now with her EP & this single under her belt, plus recognition from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, playing alongside Mark Morriss of The Bluetones and signing to Burnt Leaves Folk Management, Hannah Woof is a name to watch & a voice to heed.

“And what a voice: much as I have praised it twice before, headlining her own gig seemed to lend Hannah an extra fillip of confidence & there was a considerable power which she unleashed when appropriate. She writes very personal songs & this gives them a distinction & personality which helps them impact. There is a considerable wit in both her words & her delivery of them: another of her strengths I think is in interpreting lyrics” (Hot Music Live review of Hannah Woof live in April 2019)

“Like all the best music, these senses of honesty & the artist enjoying what they do underpin what I instinctively feel in the song & why I respond emotionally positively to it. And enjoy it. And I rejoice for Hannah who seems to have had a ball making it. If you use the "Sassy Rating" patented by Izzie Derry then you'd need to give it a very high one: I wouldn't argue if you wanted to give it the maximum (Hannah sounds like she is trying for it too). Think "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye only more raunchy. So there you have it: a track as inventive & true as her previous work yet which managed to surprise a fan: how great is that?” (Hot Music Live review of “Sweet Talk” in November 2019)
