about

Previously released in 2019 as their debut single

One of the swiftest rising of local bands, Evergreen are brothers Rikki (guitar, harmonica & vocals) & Tyron Hansel (bass & vocals), Noah Dobbie (guitar, ukulele, mandolin & vocals), and Erin O’Rourke (guitar, bass & vocals), who create scintillating four part harmonies and melodies that draw frequent comparisons to late-60’s era groups like Crosby, Stills & Nash, Fleetwood Mac, and The Band. On this record they are joined by drummer Jeremy Walker.

After constant performing and writing individually, they decided to combine their talents and diversity to create a new-fashioned psychedelic sound, constructing every piece of their music collaboratively, sharing musical and lyrical ideas so that each song bears the imprint of four different writing voices. In their short career to date they are constantly attracting new fans, gaining substantial radio coverage & playing ever more prestigious gigs including the Stratford River Festival & winning the hotly contested competition to play on the Main Stage at the 2019 Godiva Festival

“Evergreen are setting tongues wagging on the local scene & are clearly off on a great journey. They waltzed "Godiva Calling" in the face of superb competition to grace the Main Stage & expect to see much more of them: if you haven't yet, please do. This record is an excellent calling card to promote their music to a wider audience & deserves to do really well: it's really catchy, it is beautifully made & best of all it hits you where it matters; in the heart. Full marks to Evergreen” (Hot Music Live review of “Sunny Lady in September 2019)
