"Righteous Man" originally appeared on the 2015 album 'Say What?'
TwoManTing formed in 2004 whilst Jah-man & Jon were playing in Leamington based global dance band Le Cod Afrique. Since then they've recorded three albums and several singles and EPs. They've had regular airplay on BBC6 Music and BBC Radio 3 and perform throughout the UK and Europe, particularly on the Festival circuit. Shows have included Glastonbury, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Warwick Arts Centre, Secret Garden Party, Musicport, Green Man, Wychwood, Shrewsbury Folk, Ely Folk, Bearded Theory, Brisfest and Bath Fringe.....to name but a few and supported artists such as Tinariwen, N'faly Kouyate and the Oyster Band.
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the band forming and so they''ll be playing a series of 20th Anniversary gigs around England and Wales and releasing some remixes of their favourite tunes.
In their own words: "through our music we've made a huge amount of friends around the country - and even acquired a god-son."
“Jon Lewis and Jah-man Aggrey play guitar and percussion respectively, but sound more like a small combo due to their clever use of loops and no small amount of enthusiastic musicality and inventiveness. They mix profound lyrics with some lighter-hearted ditties and lively dance tracks.
.....they must be the only group to successfully tackle Abdullah Ibrahim's "The Mountain/African Marketplace" and The Clash's "Guns of Brixton" in the same performance.” (Songlines Magazine)
“John Peel would play something like this on his programme and the world would suddenly seem a better place” (Steve Lamacq, BBC 6 Music)
"Brilliant - love this sound! If you want a bit of early summer, then get this in your ear-holes!" (Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 Music)
