Previously released on the EP ‘The Sun Will Rise Again’ in November 2019
Paul Ingram (guitars, keyboards, drums and vocals), Simon Ward (bass) and Glyn Finch (lead guitars)
Paul Ingram began playing drums with Back to the World (1985)/1986) with David West who is now in the Voodoo Kings. He finished playing drums towards the end of The Giraffes (1992/1993). Wanting to be more of a songwriter he reached for the guitar/microphone and formed the indie guitar band Cross Buzz Safari (1993/1994). This included Simon Ward on bass who had finished rockin’ in Some Kinda Earthquake (1987/1990). Now Glyn Finch brings his mighty guitar playing to the King of the Alps party.
King of the Alps are named after a rare and hardy wild alpine flower that struggles for survival between 2000m and 3000m.
The most recent King of the Alps release, their ‘Beauty Scarred’ EP of 2019, also featured collaborations with Ellie Gowers (who is featured on “Hot Music Live Presents Volume Two”) and Izzie Derry (who is featured on “Hot Music Live Presents Volume One”)

“This is an album to really listen to. It is beautiful & agreeable on the ear, but it asks questions of the listener & you'll hear new things on repeated plays. It is a "grown up" set of songs & in some ways may be a series of Paul's reflections rather than "answers" to questions of matters of the heart. Are there any such answers? Maybe not, but King of the Alps are kind enough to explore the ambiguities, enigmas & paradoxes with us."
