"No Summer" was originally released in 2023 as a single, being extracted from a longer ( twenty-six minute) piece named "Close" which is also available from his Bandcamp site. This started during lockdown as therapy following a devastating loss, and became a continuous suite of five songs with linking interludes.

James founded Leamington based artists' collective Stingo Collective and in addition to his solo recordings is a member of Green Hands, Jakls, Floating Palace and The Swaps.
